For half a century, 7D Winifred St has been a sporting sanctuary, home to competition, community, and countless memories. Founded in 1974 by the Moreton Family, the club began with a mission to grow tennis in South Africa, and over the decades, it did exactly that.

Through its gates passed hundreds of aspiring athletes, many of whom went on to compete at elite levels. It wasn’t just a tennis club—it was a proving ground, a training hub, and a place where kids became champions and strangers became lifelong teammates.

But as the world of sport evolves, so does this legendary site. Today, the same soil that cultivated tennis greatness is now being transformed into the largest pickleball facility in South Africa.

We’re honoring the original 1974 clubhouse with a full renovation that keeps the charm and character, but adds modern comforts:

• A Coffee & Beverage Bar with premium coffees, smoothies, and refreshments
• Light meals and sports snacks for players and spectators
• A Pro Shop stocked with paddles, balls, apparel, and accessories
• Future plans for a premium restaurant that will make Picklers Park a destination for food, fun, and community
