Picklers Park Roodepoort—the Official Home of the National Championships—came alive last June 20–22 with three days of electrifying matches, community spirit, and unforgettable moments during South Africa's very first Pickleball National Championships, hosted by Pickleball South Africa (PSA).
From sunrise warm-ups to final match-point celebrations, the courts echoed with intensity, joy, and everything in between. Players from all over the country battled it out for glory, while fans and families cheered on with pride.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Roodepoort, Picklers Park offered the perfect stage for South Africa’s inaugural Nationals.
The weekend saw the entire park come to life—20 dedicated pickleball courts buzzing with action, shaded areas filled with supportive fans, and the comforting hum of conversation over great food and cold drinks.
From easy access to on-site amenities, the venue made sure every moment—from warm-ups to championship points—was supported, comfortable, and community-driven.
Picklers Park didn’t just host the Nationals. It helped define them.

The Nationals weren’t just about the matches—it was a full weekend of fun! Kids got in on the action with games, play zones, and plenty of space to run free, while parents relaxed to the sounds of La Vie Duo, our incredible live music act that brought great vibes throughout the day.
From freshly brewed coffee to sizzling BBQ and oven-hot pizza, everything you need to refuel and relax was right inside Picklers Park. Whether you were a player in between matches or a family soaking in the fun, great food was always just a few steps away. It’s more than a sports venue—it’s a full experience of fitness, family, food, and fun all in one place.
It’s a celebration of family and community. From players and families to first-time spectators, the event brought the community together in the best way. Laughter, cheers, and shared moments filled Picklers Park with a spirit of connection and celebration.
